Extremely High Reflectivity
1xxx-series pure aluminum has the highest reflectivity of all aluminum materials. The 1xxx series has an extremely high aluminum content—1070: ≥99.70% and 1085: ≥99.85%—and very low levels of impurities. Impurities scatter light and reduce reflectivity. The higher the purity, the stronger the specular reflectivity of visible light. After precision rolling and polishing, the surface can achieve a reflectivity approaching 90% or higher.
Excellent Machinability
Extremely good ductility and softness. High-purity aluminum is inherently soft. Compared to other 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx series aluminum alloys, which often contain expensive alloying elements, pure 1xxx series aluminum generally has lower raw material and processing costs. This makes 1070/1085 mirror aluminum an economical choice for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications.
